Overview
HUMA includes an always-available AI chatbot assistant that has full context of your workspace data — candidates, positions, reports, and interviews. Ask questions in plain English and get structured, instant answers.
The chatbot is powered by a workspace-aware AI agent with full access to your recruitment data.
What You Can Ask
The chatbot can answer questions across your workspace:
Candidate queries:
- "Show me the top 5 candidates for the Backend Engineer position"
- "Which candidates have completed their AI interviews but don't have a report yet?"
- "Summarize Sarah Chen's evaluation report"
Position queries:
- "How many open positions do we have?"
- "List all candidates who applied for the Data Scientist role"
Report queries:
- "Who are my highest-scoring candidates this week?"
- "Compare the evaluation scores for candidates in the Product Manager pipeline"
Operational queries:
- "How many credits have I used this month?"
- "Show me candidates with high proctoring violation scores"
Rich Result Cards
When the chatbot returns structured data (candidate lists, reports, comparisons), it renders rich result cards rather than plain text.
Cards can include:
- Candidate profile summaries with scores
- Side-by-side evaluation factor comparisons
- Report excerpts with highlights
- Quick-action buttons (e.g. "View Report", "Send Interview Invite")
Accessing the Chatbot
The chatbot is available from any page in your workspace:
- Click the Chat icon in the left sidebar (or bottom-right corner)
- Type your question
- Results appear immediately — complex queries may stream in
Chat sessions are persisted per workspace per user, so you can return to a previous conversation at any time.
How It Works
Intelligent Query Handling
The chatbot uses a workspace-aware AI agent that understands your data and answers questions in natural language. It can search candidates, retrieve evaluation reports, list positions, and check usage — deciding what to look up based on your question.
Workspace Isolation
The chatbot only has access to your current workspace's data. It cannot read data from other workspaces, even if you are a member of multiple workspaces.
Tips for Best Results
- Be specific about the position: "candidates for the Senior Engineer role" gives better results than "candidates"
- Use time ranges: "this week", "last 30 days" help narrow results
- Ask for comparisons: "compare the top 3 candidates" returns a structured side-by-side view
- Follow-up questions work: the chatbot maintains context within a conversation session
FAQ
Does the chatbot have access to interview audio? No. The chatbot has access to transcripts, reports, and profile data — not raw audio or video recordings.
Is my chat history private? Chat sessions are visible to workspace admins. Members can only see their own chat history.
Can the chatbot take actions (e.g. send an invite)? Currently the chatbot is read-only. Action capabilities (e.g. sending invitations directly from chat) are planned for a future release.
