Overview

HUMA's Panel Interview feature lets your team conduct live video interviews with candidates — with real-time transcription and automatic AI report generation when the session ends.

Multiple interviewers can join the same room. Every word is captured, labeled by speaker, and stored — so your team can focus on the conversation instead of taking notes.

How It Works

Setting Up a Panel Interview

Step 1 — Create the Interview

Go to Candidates → select a candidate → Panel Interviews → New Interview.

Fill in:

  • Interview title / notes
  • Scheduled date and time (optional — for scheduling purposes only)

Step 2 — Invite Interviewers

Click Add Interviewers → enter email addresses. Each interviewer receives a unique invite token link via email. No HUMA account is required for external interviewers.

You can invite multiple interviewers. Each has a unique link that can only be used once.

Step 3 — Candidate Joins

The candidate receives a separate link (also token-based, no account needed). When they open it, they're placed in a waiting room until an interviewer admits them.

Step 4 — During the Interview

  • All participants' video and audio are connected with enterprise-grade reliability
  • Speech is transcribed in real time with automatic speaker labels
  • Transcript segments appear in the HUMA interface as the conversation progresses
  • The session is recorded and stored automatically

Step 5 — End the Session

When the session ends (any admin clicks End Interview or all participants leave), HUMA:

  1. Closes the interview room
  2. Stores the session recording
  3. Auto-generates an AI evaluation report from the full transcript

Transcripts

Real-Time View

During the session, interviewers can see live transcript segments in the HUMA sidebar — each labeled with the speaker's name.

Post-Interview View

After the session:

  1. Go to Reports → select the panel interview report
  2. Click the Transcript tab
  3. Browse the full conversation with timestamps and speaker identification

AI Report from Panel Interviews

The AI report is generated automatically after the session ends, using the full transcript. The report follows the same structure as AI call reports:

  • Overall score
  • Evaluation factor scores (weighted)
  • Strengths and weaknesses
  • Recommendation

FAQ

Do interviewers need a HUMA account? No. External interviewers join via a unique token link in their email invitation. They do not need to register or log in.

What if an interviewer's link is lost? Workspace admins can resend interviewer invitations from the interview management panel.

Is the session recorded? Yes. The session recording is stored automatically and linked to the interview record in HUMA after the session ends.

What transcription language is supported? English is supported by default. Contact support at hello@humain-tech.com for multi-language requirements.
